581 Blind understanding

Sasuke will say that as long as Kabuto keeps his eyes closed they can't defeat him without killing him and Itachi will say that there is a way to pry open Kabuto's eyes. Kabuto will be amused and ask what that way is and Itachi will say that it's close combat.

Itachi will say that he attacked Kabuto with Sasuke's sword to prove his theory. Kabuto isn't quite used to fighting with his eyes closed and that in close combat with the constantly varying angles of attack there is a slight delay in his response which is why Itachi was able to cut off Kabuto's horn.

Kabuto will congratulate Itachi on that assessment, but say that it doesn't mean anything if Itachi isn't fast enough to exploit that slight delay. Which is why Itachi tells Sasuke to take the front while he will support him from the back.

Sasuke will use Chidori Nagashi travelling through the ground to attack, but Kabuto will jump into the air to evade it. Sasuke will take the opening to get into close range and attack Kabuto with taijutsu. Kabuto will retreat and Sasuke will pursue him. From the back Itachi will use Amaterasu to cut off Kabuto's retreat.

With Kabuto cornered Sasuke will talk about how the weakness of Kabuto is lightning, because it cancels Suigetsu's jutsu and shock him by using the first stage of the Raikage's lightning armor to attack. Sasuke rushes forward and Kabuto is for the first time hard pressed to evade.

At the same time Itachi throws Sasuke's sword at Kabuto and a moment later attacks with the kage shuriken jutsu from behind and a multitude of shuriken attack Kabuto. Kabuto is confident saying that shuriken won't be able to get through Sage Mode, but in the last second as they pass him by Sasuke uses Chidori Nagashi on the kunai.

With lightning charged kunai coming from every direction as well as Sasuke attacking him at the same time Kabuto is forced to open his eyes to keep up with it. He takes care not to look at Itachi or Sasuke directly, but he happens to look at Sasuke's sword which is once again stuck in the wall next to his head and sees that Itachi's MS is mirrored in the blade of the sword.

Itachi uses Tsukiyomi in that instant. End of chapter.

tl;dr Itachi and Sasuke attack together, Kabuto is forced to open his eyes and Itachi tricks Kabuto into Tsukiyomi by using Sasuke's sword as a mirror.

Naruto Chapter 581 : The man behind everything.

Chapter starts with Kabuto healing his horn
Sasuke: that's right...he has karin's abilities...what a pain.
Kabuto: As always, very impressive Itachi.
Itachi: Enough talk, let's finish this.
Sasuke: Right.
Itachi and Sasuke charge at Kabuto.
Kabuto: Tell me Itachi, have you ever wondered who was realy behind the mask?
Itachi stops
Itachi: !
Sasuke: What? The mask? What mask?
Kabuto: The one the both of you call Madara Uchiha.
Sasuke: What about him...
Itachi: *Kabuto....do you even know what happened...how*
Kabuto: kukuku....
Sasuke: Speak up!
Kabuto: I see...so you never told Sasuke what REALLY happened.
Itachi: Enough Kabuto. He doesn't need to hear it.
Sasuke: Hear what? Speak damit!
Kabuto: Well for starters....the one behind the mask...is not Madara Uchiha.
Itachi and Sasuke: !?
Sasuke: How can he not be him? Who is it then?
Itachi: How do you know it's not Madara..have you seen his face?
Kabuto: not yet, I'm getting to that. He's next on my kill list after both Sasuke and Naruto are dead. However, the real Madara Uchiha is currently fighting the 5 kages.
Itachi: !
Sasuke: So what of all this?
Kabuto: Let's all take a time out. I think Sasuke needs to hear this.
Itachi charges at Kabuto but Kabuto goes underground and splits everywhere.
Kabuto: Alright, now that I can talk freely...
Itachi:....
Kabuto: It all happened back before the Uchiha massacre.

Scene switches to a flashback
Danzo: Itachi. You know what you must do.
Itachi:....
Danzo: This is for the benefit of the Uchiha. Do not disappoint me.
Itachi: Understood.
Itachi leaves.
Behind Danzo a shadowy figure appears.
???: Are you sure he can go through with the mission.
Danzo: No, that's why a ninja must always have a plan 2. You....do what Itachi must do if he decides to refuse the mission, but do not kill him.
???: As you wish.

Scene switch to a full moon.
Itachi with his gear on near the anbu police.
Itachi: I'll have to take out the police force first.
Itachi:....No...this is wrong. I can find a better way.
As Itachi looks through the window, he sees dead bodies everywhere.
Itachi: What? what is this? I never...
A cut slash from far away.
Itachi; !?
Itachi looks in the distance and a man is shown walking out someones house into another one.
Itachi charges at the man. But he vanishes through the ground.
Itachi: What? how?
Itachi: Could ti be...Danzo...did you hire another assasin...Shit Sasuke! Mother and Father!
As Itachi comes into his house he sees blood.
Itachi: No....MOM, DAD!
Itachi opens the doors to see a masked man standing on them.
Itachi: Mom.....Dad......Damn you! (Activates mangekyou sharingan)
Itachi engages at him but goes right through him.
Itachi: Who are you! Show yourself.
???: If you desire my power, find the organization called Akatsuki and pursue them. I will be there.
The hooded figure looks at Itachi.
Itachi: !? Sha--sharingan?
Tobi: until we meet again, Itachi.
Tobi warps away. As he does, Sasuke walks in the room.
Itachi: !!!
Sasuke: Nii-san...why?
Itachi, set up by the masked man!?

Snake eyes

*Kabuto faces the bros*

Kabuto: "Kukuku.. Maybe Sasuke would like to find out what a true liar you really are? Sasuke kun, did you really think - !!"

*Kabuto barely misses his boo-snake taking off his neck!*

Kabuto: "You.. I can't snap him out of it!" *the snake makes another lunge, this time Kabuto seizes it by the jaws*

*sasuke steps forward* "Nows our chance!"

*Itachi stops him with a raised arm* "Wait, brother.."

*Kabuto begins to laugh maniac-ally* "I see you used tsukiyomi to destroy his weak brain beyond repair" (to himself : 'My eye coverings protect me, however')

Kabuto: "These snakes are a dime a dozen!! Graaaahh" *He tears he snakes jaw open, king kong style, murdering it.

Then the connection to his body liquefies and separates*

Kabuto: "Only excess baggage, kuku.., as a sage, i have no - !!"
*Kabuto is frozen in place, he looks at his hands, and they begin to melt/drip with his suigetsu ability*

Kabuto: "Impossible.. this is.. genjutsu!?"

Itachi : "Since the moment I cut you.."

Kabuto thinking: "Genjutsu by touch? That could be possible, but, he used a sword-"

Itachi : "It wasn't physical contact, I pushed my chakra through the blade, and invaded your body."

Sasuke: "!!" *looks at Itachi in awe mixed with envy*

Itachi: (with flashback in background) In fact, your snake never attacked you, you simply were fooled into disposing of it yourself, thereby destroying your one tool to break you out of my genjutsu.."

*flashback shows Kabuto chasing his tail, then tearing it apart as it struggles to escape*


*panel of sasuke's face, smirking*
Sasuke: Well, well, shall we call you Professor Snakes, brother?

(panel of itachi's poker face looking sidelong at his brother)
Itachi: "..."

*Kabuto, dripping, quivering with rage and clenching his teeth* "YOU HAVE MADE A FOOL OF ME!!?"

Itachi: *looking bored* "He's loud... Doctor?" *tosses the sword to Sasuke*

Sasuke: *looking evil as he caches sword* "Gladly.." *sasuke flows lightning through his sword and impales kabuto*

Kabuto: "Graaaaaaghh!" *as he is electrocuted*

Sasuke: "I avoided his vitals"

Itachi to Kabuto as he writhes in pain from inside and out:

"you were so busy collecting the powers of others that you neglected to realize that with each power comes a new weakness. This water mode i forced you to use leaves you vulnerable to sasuke's lightning nature.
You cover your eyes with those snake lids but you were blind from the start if you believed you could come between my brother and I. I pity you, Kabuto, because if you had any family at all to call your own, you would realize.."

*Final page shows the brothers from behind a half-melted and electrified kabuto, standing over him, side by side*
"That blood is thicker than water."

Naruto 581 : The gap between their eyes!


Chapter starts with Sasuke and Itachi staring at Kabuto.

Itachi: Sasuke, do you remember that time we were playing at the Nakano river?

*flashback*

Itachi: Sasuke, i need you to scare those fishs to the margin, so i can trap them here.

Sasuke: Ok, niisan!

Sasuke proceeds to scare the fishs like a retarded child into Itachi's direction. Itachi looks at him smiling.

end of flashback*

Sasuke: hm. Ok I get it.

Itachi: Ok, lets go.

Each one run to the opposite side of the cave, Sasuke turns and blocks the entrance with Amaterasu, then proceeds to control it to spread a line, limiting the space for Kabuto's mobility.

Kabuto: *!! are they trying to...* This kind of trick wont work on me. If i get caught in amaterasu i can simply get rid of my skin...

Sasuke: Heh, I would worry with another thing if i were you...

Kabuto looks around and cant find Itachi.

Kabuto: ... *wait, wasnt he...? oh.*

Kabuto looks behind him and sees a bunch of crows flying to his direction. Then he turns his face and at the same time Itachi "jumps" eye staring him with a bunch of crows *similar to what he did during his fight with Sasuke*, while in the background we see also crows coming out of Sasuke's body, similar to what he did against danzou.

Kabuto is inside of tsukuyomi. *Huh, Itachi really thinks that he can keep me here, no? I guess he will have a surprise.

Kabuto makes a hand sign.

Kabuto turns smirking: Tsukuyomi wont work on me, Itachi. Did you really think that I would not be prepared for this?

Kabuto gets no response.

Kabuto: ......!!? What is this!!?



Itachi: Looks like my Tsukuyomi wont work on him...

Kabuto falls on his knees.

Itachi: !!?

Sasuke walks to Itachi's side smirking.

Itachi: ?

Sasuke: Nii-san...do you remember what happened that same day that we were fishing at the nakano river?

Itachi looks at Sasuke.

*flashback*

Itachi is picking up the fishs.

Itachi: Now we will have many-

Sasuke: NIISAN! NIISAN! Look!

Sasuke is standing grabbing a big fish between his hands and smirking.

Itachi: !! Good job Sasuke!

*end of flashback*

Itachi: heh...I should have expected this.

Sasuke: My tsukuyomi is different from yours...I cant control time-space inside it, but i can still knock him down.

Itachi: With my eyes, you might be able to use it the same way I did.

Sasuke looks at Itachi surprised.

Sasuke: Well, what should we do with him so?

Itachi grabs Kabuto and makes him stare at him.

Itachi: Im going to discover how to deactivate the Edo tensei, and then control him to finish it. Tsukuyomi!

Side Note: Edo tensei gets deactivated! What will be Kabuto's response!? Next Chapter, Kabuto's Ultimate Form!
